ADD is back! Blergh
Today was a more typical ADD day. I had 7 hours sleep not bad but I woke up later than should have, stunned out of sleep as I was woken up by the alarm out of a dream, and promptly passed out again, then woke up again, oh shit I’ve to get ready and staggered out of bed. Dozed against the door. I felt like I’d been beaten but without the pain and dragged my body into the bath where I was thinking I’m late I better hurry up. Tune out. I should wash my hair, no you don’t have time, tune out. Pick up conditioner (I don’t use shampoo a lot, sensitive scalp) and start washing my hair. Damn.
Stagger out of bath dripping water all over the place. Dress up. Tune out. What was I looking for again? Ah trousers. Tune out. Drag everything on and walk out. Prepare breakfast (natural yoghurt, honey, walnuts and diced cucumber! Delicious. Try it sometime). Gulp down spoonful, go pick up my handbag, gulp another spoonful, ah remember umbrella.
Stick the rest of yoghurt in fridge. Stagger out of door down the stairs, bang into stair rail and think hmm, better be careful don’t want to fall down 5 flights of stairs, water dripping down my neck from wet hair. Feeling a bit like I’m walking through the usual syrup.
I miss the bus of course, thank goodness the next one comes soon. According to the clock it took 4 minutes but I feel like only 2 minutes have passed.
Time distortion alert.
A weak or nonexistent sense of time or planning; poor time management
Struggle to get transport pass out of bag, and collapse onto seat and doze off, a job made difficult by the men chattering behind me the rest of the way. Get out of bus, go through metro, reach my stop, stay away from the smelly guy who carries a mini radio with him and sings along really loudly every morning. At least he learnt a new song, the really popular one from Grey’s Anatomy, and I get that stuck in my head the whole darn morning. Along with Backstreet is back! All right! Aargh.
G-d!
At least I got to work on time, especially as the boss arrived really early for some reason, phew, I was the first one in after him.
And i finished reading my book on Genghis Khan, crap, so what do I read at my 2 hour lunch time?
Blergh is my thought for the day.
